“Sex Education” was released to Netflix users on January 11, 2019, and it immediately caught the attention of a large audience. The show focuses on Otis, the awkward, shy teenager, that has a problem with manhood. With Otis’s issue, it makes the plot of the show very amusing and entertaining to the viewers.

According to reviews on Google, “Young or old, in some way or another, you’ll relate to this show. “Sex Education” isn’t just about sex, it’s about learning self-appreciation, respect and living life as best as possible with the choices we have in front of us.”

Although the show is named “Sex Education,” it features a lot more than that. It brings in many topics that a lot of adults and teenagers can relate to.

Since the protagonist, Otis, is a very shy and awkward teenage boy, he has one friend, Eric. Eric’s character is a fun, loud, outgoing, gay teenage guy. He puts a spark and excitement into Otis’s life and helps Otis come out of his shell to experience new things.

As the show begins, a new year of high school is starting for Otis and Eric. As soon as they arrive at school, the pair of best friends are bullied for being “weird.”

Eric tries really hard to fit in and to be one of the cool kids, but Otis doesn’t really mind not being known. Otis continues to struggle with his manhood issues until he meets a girl, Maeve.

Maeve really brings Otis out of his lonesome shell and together they create a “clinic” for students that are in need of sexual therapy.

Through this process, Otis realizes that his calling is therapy because of his issues along with the role model he has back home, his mother. Otis’s mother, Jean, is a sex therapist with challenging past experiences with love.

On February 1, 2019, Netflix announced there will be a season two of “Sex Education,” and, if you thought the first season was good, season two is likely to top it with its upcoming eight episodes!

“Sex Education” is out now on Netflix.
