How Much Stress Do the Holidays Actually Cause Us?

Many people tend to get stressed as soon as the holiday season hits. The stress people endure can manifest into symptoms that no one wants at time that's meant to be spent with loved ones. From November to January, society is pressured into making sure they have all their holiday shopping done, have enough money to do so, and have enough time to finish it come time for Christmas. All this gift giving and seeing what others want can leave people feeling frustrated, angry, or nervous.

The Opportunities Job Shadow Day Offers

On October 17, 2019, San Pasqual High School offered its annual “Job Shadow Day” Program to allow students to experience a profession for the first time. The Escondido Education COMPACT works with the Escondido Union High School District every year to provide local high school students with hands-on real-world experience. Students have the opportunity to shadow someone who works in their selected career field for one day. With over 30 companies taking part each year, they secure placements in a wide range of career fields.

ASB Strives to Make Homecoming Happen

Homecoming is one of the major dances put on each year at San Pasqual High School, but many students are unaware of what goes on behind the scenes. Jessica Kamman, a senior on San Pasqual High School's robotics team, is currently in her last season on the team. After four years on the SuperNurds, Jessica Kamman has put in an extraordinary amount of effort and countless hours, earning her the titles of team president, software lead, and technician, as well as earning her the prestigious FIRST Dean’s List Finalist award, named after the co-founder of FIRST Robotics.

New Teacher on Campus

On January 9, 2019, the first day back from winter break; starting second semester, there was a new teacher in San Pasqual High School.  The teacher's name is Mr. Santiago. He teaches health. Santiago is located in room 316 at San Pasqual campus.“I came from  an elementary school as a PE teacher,” Santiago said. “I really like it here; it feels as though staff and students are amazing,” Santiago said.
