Maddie Harding, Staff Writer

Maddie Harding is a staff writer for the eagle eye newspaper. She is in 12th grade at San Pasqual High School in Escondido, California. Maddie grew up writing and was entered into a contest in her 8th grade year due to a creative story she wrote that gained a good amount of recognition. Throughout the duration of middle school and high school, she has starred in about 14 musicals including Guys and Dolls, Alice in Wonderland, and Seussical. She is also the vice president of the advanced choir named Showtime at San Pasqual High. She has been apart of Showtime for about two years. Maddie ran for two years in cross country and track during her freshman and sophomore year. Furthermore, she played tennis for a season throughout her first semester of junior year. Maddie enjoys singing, playing guitar and ukulele, and when not doing so, Maddie loves to read and write. She managed to achieve a 4.2 GPA in her junior year while taking many AP classes and honors classes. Maddie has always enjoyed English and it is her favorite subject. When writing, she prefers to write opinion articles, especially when she gets to put her two cents into a controversial issue. When not singing and stressing over school, Maddie enjoys to spend time with her dogs and eat lots of food. Maddie is stoked to have the chance to write in journalism.
