Jump Aboard tours take over San Pasqual campus

Bri Jernberg, Staff Writer

Every year, San Pasqual High School hosts an event called Jump Aboard for eighth graders from every middle school in Escondido. For two days, eighth graders from Quantum, San Pasqual Union, Hidden Valley, Rincon, Bear Valley, Del Dios, and Mission come through the school and tour different sections of campus.

During this event, members of the San Pasqual ASB class show these students around to various sections and clubs like robotics, learning center, welding, photo, athletics, and other electives. Students here try to intrigue these middle school students and show them either what their options for electives or extracurriculars are. When they attend San Pasqual for the 2019-2020 school year, or try to persuade them to want to come to San Pasqual for high school.

Mr. Kevin Myers, an assistant principal at San Pasqual High School, organizes the event with help from Mr. Rodriguez, the ASB advisor, and Mrs. Parker, another assistant principal. They create the jam packed schedule and make sure everything runs smoothly.
